Dyeing and Printing for Custom Tenugui
You can choose from three printing methods for the fabric. We will suggest the best option to suit your needs and design.
1. Dyeing
Chusen Dyeing (traditional Japanese dyeing technique)
■Features
･You can choose from a single color or multiple colors.
＊Please note that the price increases with the number of colors.
・The texture and absorbency of the fabric are not affected. The dye penetrates into the fabric itself, so the texture is maintained.
- It costs more than printing.
- This is because there are more production steps involved.
- It has a nice texture! (better than printing)
- *We recommend this dyeing method.
- The minimum order for printing is 100 pieces.
2. Printing -Silk screened printing-
With this printing method, pigmented ink onto the surface of the fabric.
■Features
The colors come out clearly.
It produces sharp and clear images, and can print finer details than Chusen dyeing.
The outlines of the design appear sharp and clear
- The reverse side is white.
This is because pigment ink is applied to the surface of the fabric and does not penetrate deeply into the fibers. Therefore, the texture is stiff, and the printed area tends to resist moisture absorption.
